Selim Bayraktar, born in 1975 in Kirkuk, is a graduate of the Acting Department of Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory. He performed in several plays at the Antalya State Theatre, including Othello, Sırça Kümes, and Bay Kolpert. Bayraktar made his television debut in 2006 with the TV series Köprü. He gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Sümbül Ağa in Muhteşem Yüzyıl. Following this, he continued to achieve success with a variety of roles in both cinema and television. His performance in Netflix's first English-language Turkish co-production, Rise of Empires: Ottoman, was widely discussed. The actor continues his journey on screen with his role in the series Mehmed: Fetihler Sultanı and is also involved in artistic, sports, and music projects.
