Born in Ankara, Serhat Kılıç completed his education at Bilkent University's Department of Theatre. Throughout his career, he has acted in numerous theatre productions, making his professional debut in 1998 in Ariel Doffman's play "The Lost Ones" (Widows). He earned a master's degree in directing at Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory and also taught there. After moving to Istanbul, he continued his theatre work. He first appeared on television in 2000 in the series "Bizim Evin Halleri" . He has also appeared in other successful series such as "Seksenler" , "The Trusted" , "Kuruluş Osman", "Son Gün",  "Tetikçinin Oğlu", and "Kirli Sepeti". He has also acted in films that have garnered attention in their genre, such as "Veda" , "Mavzer", and "Cenazemize Hoşgeldiniz". He appeared in Nuri Bilge Ceylan's film 'Winter Sleep,' which won the Golden Palm Award at the Cannes Film Festival, and attended Cannes. He received awards for his one-man theater play 'Broken Record.' Having acted in numerous projects across digital platforms, television, and film, Kılıç continues to successfully portray the character of 'Deli Lütfi' in the series 'Mehmed: Sultan of Conquests' and perform stage shows with his own music group.
