Born in 1976, Nurgül Yeşilçay graduated from Anadolu University’s Theater Department. She began her acting career with the unforgettable series “İkinci Bahar” and then became one of Turkey’s most successful actors at a young age with her role as Bahar in the phenomenal series “Asmalı Konak” that broke viewing records. She has worked with many important directors in cinema. She received the Best Actress Award at the 12th Adana Golden Boll Film Festival for her role in Atıf Yılmaz’s “Eğreti Gelin” and the Best Actress Award at the 45th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival for her role in Erden Kıral’s “Conscience”. She participated in the festival with Fatih Akın’s film “The Edge of Heaven”, which won an award at the 60th Cannes Film Festival. The series “The Magnificent Century: Kosem”, in which she played Kösem Sultan, became the series Export Champion of 2017. The series “Broken Pieces” and “Gülperi” achieved international success. Yeşilçay, who met with the audience on the theater stage with the play ‘Bir Gece Bir Barda’, had the films “Kim Bu Aile” and “Mahalleden Arkadaş” in which she played the leading roles, released in 2022. She was nominated for international awards with the character Alanur she created in the Farewell Letter, which was released in 2023. She has gained a serious young follower base with the original content she has created on her social media for the last year. She has been painting and sculpting professionally. Her biggest interest is to follow innovations in many areas such as cinema, sports, art, economy, and technology.
