Born in London in 1989, Yasemin Kay Allen took acting lessons in Australia. After returning to Turkey, she completed her education at the Müjdat Gezen Conservatory's Theatre Department. She has appeared in numerous television series, including , 'Matter of Respect', 'The Magnificent Century', and 'Merhamet'. She lived in Los Angeles and London for a period, during which time she played a Russian agent in two seasons of the American-British co-production 'Strike Back'. After returning to Turkey, she starred in 'The Usual Suspects' on Exxen and 'If a Man Loves', a launch project for Bein Connect. She also starred in 'The Turkish Detective', which aired on BBC Two. Allen, who met with the audience on the theater stage with the play 'The Last of the Great Lovers', received praise for her character 'Neslihan' in the Netflix series 'To Love to Lose'.
