Born in 1985, Melisa Sözen began acting at a young age and has appeared in numerous successful productions across television, digital platforms, film, and theatre. She gained international recognition for her performance in Nuri Bilge Ceylan's Palme d'Or winning film 'Winter Sleep'. In 2015, she achieved great success by winning both the Theatre Critics Association's Best Actress award for her role in 'Kalp Düğümü' and the Film Critics Association's Best Actress award for 'Winter Sleep'. Following her role in Eric Rochant's series 'Le Bureau des Légendes', she continued her international career with the film 'Damien Veux Changer Le Monde'. Sözen also starred in Netflix's globally successful series 'Who Were We Running From?', receiving widespread acclaim for her performance. She has served as a jury member at prestigious festivals such as CanneSeries, the Sarajevo Film Festival, and the Guanajuato International Film Festival. Sözen, who once again made headlines with her leading role in 'Fer', released on Gain, will have the world premiere of the film 'Roya', directed by Iranian director Mahnaz Mohammadi, in which she plays the lead role, at the 76th Berlin Film Festival.
