Hazar Ergüçlü, born in 1992 in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, graduated from the Theatre Department of Haliç University Conservatory. She was discovered at the age of 17 by the renowned director Derviş Zaim, which led to her film debut in Gölgeler ve Suretler. Ergüçlü has since built a successful career in both cinema and television. She won the Best Actress award at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival for her performance in the film Kar, which she also co-produced. She also participated in Nuri Bilge Ceylan's Ahlat Ağacı, which was featured at the Cannes Film Festival. On television, she gained widespread recognition with successful projects such as Kuzey Güney, Medcezir, Yüksek Sosyete, and Alev Alev. She starred in Netflix's first original series Hakan Muhafız and in BluTV's adaptation of the acclaimed series The Affair, titled Saklı. Ergüçlü has also worked internationally, starring in the BBC One series Mallorca Files. She won the Best Female Actress in Cinema Comedy or Dark Comedy award at the 25th Sadri Alışık Awards for her role in the Netflix film Gönül. Additionally, her portrayal of Dilber in İnci Taneleri has attracted further attention. Currently, she continues to perform in the play Timsah Ateşi, which has been running for three seasons. Ergüçlü also collaborates with major brands in advertising campaigns.
