Arzum Onan was born in Ankara in 1973. After winning the Miss Turkey and Miss Europe beauty pageant in 1993, she worked as a model until 1997. She began her acting career with the television series 'Sıcak Saatler'. Following this, she appeared in numerous television series including 'Merdoğlu', 'Zeybek Ateşi', 'Sahra' , and 'Sessiz Fırtına'. She continued her acting career with the film 'Aşkın İkinci Yarısı'. She also continued to work on commercials for many brands. Continuing her sculpture work, which she began in 2004, Onan exhibited her works in various parts of Turkey, with solo exhibitions titled 'Dokuz' (Nine) and 'Kadın' (Woman), and in Milan and New York with group exhibitions. She reunited with movie lovers with the film 'Bir Umut' (A Hope) and became the face of the Tekin Seyrekoğlu jewelry brand.
